By 2021, Warner Music Group had been struggling for two years to release a native iOS mobile app outsourced to a service partner in Eastern Europe.
This app did not have a native Android counterpart either, limiting the business from reaching its goals or obtaining valuable data for decision-making processes.
Managing the native iOS application was not only expensive but also difficult to scale and maintain effectively.

To address these challenges, DNAMIC proposed, through our Mobile Platform Upgrade solution, unifying both technologies by redeveloping the application using Flutter. Flutter, a versatile cross-platform framework, enabled the creation of a single application that works seamlessly on both native iOS and native Android.
This approach resolved the issue of platform exclusivity, it also streamlined development, project management, and testing processes, providing Warner Music Group with a path to go cross-platform with web and desktop applications.

DNAMIC crafted a structured plan defining clear deliverables within a specified timeframe and budget. Central to this modernization effort was the implementation of Flutter with Dart. By leveraging Flutter’s cross-platform capabilities, DNAMIC was able to create an application for native Android in 4 months while ensuring seamless correspondence and parity between the native iOS and native Android platforms in 3 months.
This modernization replaced the original native iOS application with a newer, more efficient, and agile technology, unifying the platform under a single base code. This approach enhanced performance and scalability, it also streamlined maintenance and future updates.
